Wednesday, February 8th come hear Bob Lipson & Saul H. Jacobs entertain us with one of the programs from their Series "The Golden Age of American Popular Music".   Bob is a master pianist of the American songbook and writer/commentator/performer Saul tells wonderful stories to enlighten us.    Rotary Club starts at 12 Noon at the University Club, 175 N. Oakland Avenue in Pasadena.

ROTARY ROAMERS: Bike Ride!! San Gabriel River Bikeway

San Gabriel river bike path - THE RIDE IS ON!  WE EXPECT  ABOUT 8 RIDERS.  TIP: CHECK YOUR BIKE NOW, NOT TOMORROW AT 8 AM.  THIS GIVES YOU SOME TIME TO FIX.

MEETING PLACE:      We are meeting in Encanto Park, which is at 751 Encanto Parkway in Duarte.  This is northeast of the intersection of the 605 fwy and the 210 fwy.  Encanto Parkway is a small street which intersects Huntington Drive.  The park is northeast of the Rancho Duarte Golf Course on Encanto Parkway.  Go to the park, then drive past the Duarte Historical Museum.  Find the red-colored kiddie playground, which is on your left along Encanto Parkway.  You can’t miss it.  We will meet there.


 DEPARTURE TIME FROM MEETING PLACE: 9:00 AM SHARP.


 DISTANCE:               20 miles round trip or TURN AROUND ANY TIME YOU WANT.  Flat easy ride.   NO CARS!!!


BRING:                       Bring your bike, water, a helmet and lunch


DESCRIPTION:         We are going to experience THE SAN GABRIEL RIVER BIKE PATH.  No cars.  Flat ride, with just one incline to walk up to get to the level of the Sante Fe Dam on our return.  Paved, established bike path.  Perfect for getting started biking again!
