Featured Club News

In Memory: Joseph Anthony-Gaffield

Joseph Anthony-Gaffield

Joseph Anthony-Gaffield was a very active member of our club, chairing multiple committees and serving on the Board of Directors. He also served outside of Rotary for the community, and was a very dedicated father of three and husband. After a brief but intense bout with cancer, Joseph declined rapidly earlier this week, and passed away Tuesday night. Sherri Bonner was with him, and wants the Rotary family to know that his family and priest were with him. She says, "I was with him at 6:30 Tuesday evening and he managed to give me a big 'Joseph' smile and a kiss. Right up until the end he was selfless and loving." Joseph, we will miss your boundless enthusiasm and smiles.

On Saturday, January 28, Cathy Brooke passed away after an incredibly courageous battle against cancer. Her son Grayson posted some very touching words: "I was by her side in the last few moments and she left beautifully. I love you so much Mom. You did an incredible job in this world and you will continue to do so in your next journey. Thank you to everyone for your kind words, prayers and support. She passed knowing nothing but love from her friends and family. Rest in peace you amazing woman." Pasadena Rotarians will miss Cathy deeply, and our thoughts are with her family.
